What Yah Expects of Daughters?

t  bet

Daughters, are the ground in preparation for the planting of the house seed. Her life reveals what is inside the covenant. As the bet (bet) is the picture of the house, and because what is most important to Yah is not the structure of the home, but those who reside within it, it has the dual meaning of “in” or “inside”. In her resides the covenant of the house. She is indeed the mystery of what is inside the sign. She is a picture of the bride of Messiah which is the church, and therefore has an important role that should not be neglected in our society. As we see more and more cultures who embrace a son and seem to diminish the worth of a daughter we see more and more women throwing off the traditional position of their womanhood to compete in the world of men for prominence and prestige. We must begin to see ourselves as an intricate part of this unique puzzle in which every piece is significant in revealing its overall beauty, and no puzzle is complete with even one missing piece.

Our daughters should be a living legacy of pointing those within and without her home to the Tau (t) which is the “sign” or “covenant”. She is the representation of the bringing together of two houses; Prophetically this is what she is preparing for as a daughter. She walks as an expressed example of life and love. The greatest example in scripture of the mystery of the daughter is revealed in Sarah. Here we have a woman who was a symbol to the secular world of unbelievable beauty, yet within her was a treasure so special that the wrong person tampering with it was cursed. In a way she was a physical example of the ark of the covenant. The ark of the covenant had to be handled with care, and not just anybody could touch it, nor could it be carried any sort of way. Ignoring the rules of handling it led to death.   She in essence houses the sign and this is why such particular care is taken in choosing a mate for her.

The marriage ceremony places so much emphasis on who has the authority to give a daughter away to a man.  Let’s examine why Solomon married the daughter of an Egyptian? It is only through covenant did he have access to the secrets of Egypt, and that covenant required that he marry the daughter of the authority of Egypt to acquire. It is the responsibility of parents to both share the gift within them to her, as well as to protect her and handle her with care as the prized possession that she is. For Yahushah is the word of God, that is housed in the temple of His bride. Every bride is a daughter before she becomes anything else. She is the house sign that is birthed in the strong water of her mother’s womb.

One final special note, while in our Western culture we emphasize our children’s independence, we notice that Yah doesn’t do that for his daughters. We notice that every daughter that married Isaac, and Jacob, as well as Moses was found in their Father’s house, tending to their Father’s business. In Hebrew culture a daughter didn’t leave her father until she married. She always had a covering, even as the ark always had a covering. In her is kept the treasure of that family. How different our culture would be if we treasured our daughters the way Yah treasures us? If parents would esteem more value to their daughters and preparing them for God’s plan for them upon the earth? If we would see that daughters are the link to a healthy, sustainable, and strong society.

Take A Selfie?

I was going down my Facebook wall when I saw a profound photo visual of someone taking a selfie and attached to the photo was a scripture. To be exact 2 Timothy 3:1-4 and it was such an accurate scripture to convey the times we are living in. This got me to thinking am I taking a selfie, spiritually speaking?

Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates? (2Co 13:5)

When I saw that photo and started writing this article this scripture came to mind. Because the bottom line is 2 Timothy deals with what we will see in the world, but 2 Cor. 13:5 deals with what we will see in us. What image are we reflecting and more importantly what is the condition of our heart? Do we know if Yeshua is in us, and if so how do we know? The part of us that can’t be seen through the lens of your smart phone, the part that the selfie stick can’t extend itself far enough to zoom in on. The part where no angle on the outside can possibly cast a shadow on, but it is the part that Yah sees in us. It’s the part that he is addressing when he is dealing with the religious leaders who should have known better.

And Jesus said, Are ye also yet without understanding? Do not ye yet understand, that whatsoever entereth in at the mouth goeth into the belly, and is cast out into the draught? But those things which proceed out of the mouth come forth from the heart; and they defile the man. For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies: These are the things which defile a man: but to eat with unwashen hands defileth not a man. (Mat 15:16-20)

It’s the thoughts we think on long enough rather than cast aside that cause the problem. Because the thing is if you don’t cast it aside you begin to marinate on it, and as it begins to coat the inside of your heart, it eventually finds it’s way into the hot spot of your mouth and the next thing you know you’re speaking what you were thinking. Rather than casting that thought aside you are now allowing it to make and shape you and your actions. If Jesus Christ (Yeshua Ha Maschiach) is not in you, rest assured that there is something taking residents in you and all it takes is the right circumstances to bring it out. Even marinated meat can’t be eaten until a fire is kindled. Trust me as sure as the circumstances of the disciples hands not being washed according to their traditions was just enough fire for the religious leaders of Yeshua’s day to grab hold to, there is a circumstance that will bring out what is in you, if it is in you.

Don’t sleep on the fruit of the Spirit

We ought to be abounding in the fruit of the spirit. Our inner man should be like a fragrant garden that reflects the beauty and fragrance of the Almighty. If it isn’t what is it that we are holding on to that is becoming rottenness in our bones? What toxic thoughts are we holding in rather than allowing it to pass through the dross of our waste disposal? Too many of us are swalling bones with the meat of God’s word and allowing it to be the primary source of our nutrition. Wake up my friends this is not the time to be caught sleeping. This is the time to be vigilant for our adversary is using our ammunition against us, we must clean out even the residue of demonic artillery and arm ourselves with the Rock of Ages. For we have been given weapons to deal with the enemies arsenal, but we have been lazy in using it. Don’t let the enemy confiscate your joy, don’t let him rob you of your peace. Do what ever you can not to let the love of the Lord wax cold in your hearts. Persevere through the trials of life, let gentleness be your knife, and kindness your shield of defense. Allow your faith to be the bomb that opens every door to your destiny and allow your longsuffering to be the bow that the arrow of Love rests upon. It is in you to love those who hate you, speak every manner of evil against you, and despitefully use you, because our God is love and He resides in us. Know which battles to fight with might and which ones must be fought by His Spirit. Become intimately aware of the Spirit of God’s voice and the only way you will know if Christ is in you is to take a selfie, examine yourself. Allow the lens of His word to take a shot of your heart, and if he doesn’t like what He sees He is well able to fix all imperfections. So have you taken your selfie today?

Losing Weight the Healthy Way

Are you tired of yo-yo dieting, and unsuccessful weight loss programs and pills?  Looking for a new fresher approach?  Well, why not consult The Physician who has never failed a patient?  The Physician who knows the body better than anyone else can, in fact the Physician who breathed the breath of life into mankind and man became a living soul.  Yes, I am referring to the Bible.  The Word of God has a lot to say concerning health.

A friend of mines name Alisa Greene challenged me to share a lot of the principles that the Lord has shown me over the years concerning health.  While I have not yet apprehended my desired level of health I have been an advent student of the Word of God and health for years.  After undergoing six surgeries that cost me way more than I ever imagined I have devoted my time to finding natural remedies to common ailments.  When provided the opportunity to share some of what I have learned over the years to be a blessing to others I hesitantly jumped at the opportunity.  I am used to blogging and one on one or small group fellowships but speaking to large groups where the focus is on me was a little intimidating.  Especially in a lecture oriented setting.  I like to get feedback so you will find that my class style typically encourages questions and feedback.  Nevertheless I was ready for the challenge of a lifetime and that it was.

Now less than a week since my class I am ready to share the benefits of this class with you.  While we spoke very candidly about making healthier life choices and sustainable lifestyle changes we also had time afterwards for a smoothie bar.  We were able to test different combinations of smoothies and try out different blenders to examine the pros and cons of each.  Handouts were also made available for those who attended.  Now I am ready to share this wildly exciting experience with you.

I will be uploading a 21 day course for each of these newer you lifestyle habits that will transform your life.  Included in each day will be the following:

  1. Devotional reading to start your day
  2. Recipe Journal to plan and keep track of your meals
  3. A calendar so that you can make sure that you eat on time
  4. A Log sheet so you can measure your success.  How well you did in a day

This transformation requires 189 days of commitment to the instructions and a lifetime and generations of benefiting from the transformation.
