The Reysh

In this third episode we tackle the second letter in the first word of the Hebrew Bible and discover how it provides another missing piece of what the Messiah would do and gets us closer to understanding our role in God’s master plan for man. You won’t want to miss the meaning of the Reysh.

Counting With God Day 31

As I am now in the 31st day of the count to Pentecost, I am overwhelmed with the wisdom of the Most High. Everywhere around us we are being bombarded with our invisible enemies residue, yet the silent truth that should be shouted from the roof tops is the amount of people who have overcome this disease.  To watch the news you would think we were losing this battle, but the numbers indicate that even from the beginning we have been winning.  We are not hearing the overwhelming testimony of the majority of people who fought corona and won. In our digital age where we can track everybody’s steps we are not hearing the voice of the majority, uncovering how they crossed over and we have to ask ourselves why?  Rather than building on the wisdom from our past everyone is being told to put his or her hope on something that has been and still is experimental that is yet to come.

The most unprecedented act that I can see is not Corona, as pandemics have occurred all the way back to biblical times.  What was supposed to be a two-week break has turned into a two-month nightmare that has led to more and more uncertainty, conjuring up more questions than answers.  In the wake of all this lapse of time yet we still have no data.  We can say worldwide 98% of those who have gotten this virus has gotten over it with mild or no symptoms but yet, not enough data.   Perhaps we are not asking the right questions, or the right people the right questions.

President Trump rightly termed this thing “the invisible enemy” and I would like to build on that premise because here is where we are losing out on a monumental opportunity to see this thing turn around.  If we were facing a country for instance would we build our countries morale by focusing on the number of casualties?  Please don’t get me wrong, I am in no way minimizing the value of the lives of those who have died from or been impacted by this disease, but what I am saying is those of us who are still alive have to have a greater value in life itself then awaiting a vaccine that may or may not work, and furthermore won’t be available until next year, and lets be real clear, many people are uncomfortable taking.  This being the case we know that our past way of handling those who died at war was to honor them, memorialize them, but put our focus on our victories, not on our defeats.

Being that pandemics are not new lets talk about that for a minute.  Before the world of vaccines we had pandemics and like this one they too suffered losses, but amazingly those who seemed to weather it was able to do so by changing the terrain from within their bodies until that which threatened them from without had passed on.  In the bible you had those who had leprosy, there was no man-made elixir that cured it, there were men of God who obeyed the voice of God in directing those who were sick to do simple things to be healed.  (2 Kings 5)

We should never get away from the simplicity that is in Christ.  Diseases like Rickets it wasn’t cured by pumping toxins into the blood stream, but it was a vitamin deficiency that caused it, and thus adding what the body needed that it was lacking cured it.  What I am saying is let’s not skip over some obvious options.  Let’s love humanity enough to at least consider solutions that we know won’t hurt us, before we move towards the more drastic treatments that we can’t predict its benefits or its detriments.

The part of all this that overwhelms me with the wisdom of the Most High is that the very things that I see in my world today was written in His word thousands of years ago.  He is speaking if we will not be afraid of anyone or anything but Him.  This disease has a name, and His name is above even it.  If we will take the time to count our blessings, open our eyes and our ears to His word and his voice we will see how He is carrying us through this.

We DO NOT have to be afraid of the terror by night nor of the noisome pestilence that walketh in darkness. (Psa. 91) I realize that darkness can be intimidating, not having data, knowledge, or understanding in a situation like this is scary, but we have something much greater than data, we have the Teacher living and moving inside of us, this Teacher understands all and knows all, and if we will listen to Him he will direct us when and where to go, what, and how to do what we need to do.  In this time of counting don’t forget where your help comes from.  I can tell you I have probably made a thousand mistakes that could have made me vulnerable to this virus from the moment I knew it was in my area, but I know the ONE who keeps me, directs me, and order my steps.  If we know Him we can walk in darkness, and shine forth His light.

Let us not stop searching for truth, nor give up on the simple wisdom of God.  Let us look at this as a time to prepare ourselves as good soldiers spirit, soul, and body for the battle ahead, because even the invisible enemy must bow to the Ever Present Most High YHVH!!

What To Do When You Find Yourself Between A Rock and a Hard Place?

no buffer for what is to come.  If the rich didn’t store they find themselves in the same position as the poor or in our nation as the middle class.  When the supply is dry and the need is great you are in between a rock and a hard place.

If a mask, gloves, or disinfectant spray is the only barrier we have between us and the virus, and these are substances in high demand with little supply it is only a matter of time.  I submit to you, But GOD! See there is a God and His word says that though we may find ourselves going down the valley of the shadow of death (between a rock and a hard place) that He is with us, His Rod and Staff comfort us. (Psa 23).  Those who don’t have God in this hour has every motivation to put their trust in Him, and just as there will be those who will blame God for our predicament there are even more that can see the hand of God through it and repent and turn to Him.  The question is which one are you?

Are you the individual whose heart is failing you in fear?

Or are you the one who would rather bury your head in the quicksand?

Still yet are you in denial, believing that the whole thing is some sort of large scam?

The fact of the matter is no matter what group you are in, including those trusting in Yeshua, you are NOT exempt from Covid-19.  The difference is those who are in Yeshua can’t lose, because He has already told us before hand and since He has already conquered both hell and death we have no need to be stressed or dismayed.  If you find yourself between a rock and a hard place, I encourage you to reach for the Rock, but get behind the Rock.  He has already conquered death and hell and taken the keys from the enemy.  It is much better for you to land on the stone then for the stone to land on you. (Matt 21:44)

This is the future of the hard place.  See the Rock is the one that followed the children of Israel in the wilderness, that Rock has dealt with plagues, famine, contaminated water sources, and in every case came forth victorious.  The hard place is what the enemy puts in your path.  It’s that stumblingblock in life that is meant to trip you up so that it seems as though only calamity comes your way.  The only way to conquer the hard places life may throw your way is to cling to the Rock.  The Rock will anchor you, can be your buffer, and most importantly save your soul.  Hell is a hard place that was not made for mankind, but, just because it wasn’t purposed for us doesn’t mean it can’t house us.  In fact the scriptures say that it has enlarged herself to accommodate us. (Isa 5:14)

If you choose to bury your head in the sand doing all you can to avoid dealing with the ramifications of this plague called Corona you may find yourself in that hard place.  Those who think it is some sort of large scam, while it may be biological warfare, could be an accident, premeditated, or purely a judgment from the Almighty with no input from mankind, no matter what its source is or how it has gotten here, it is real.  There are real people dying from it, real people suffering with it, and a real chance of getting it, and those who choose to believe that it’s a scam won’t protect themselves from it and will inevitably find themselves head on contending with it.  The end of such a person who doesn’t turn to the Rock of Salvation is the hard place of Hell.

Those who choose to mentally escape the reality to cope, find yourselves buried in movies to ignore the borage of media coverage that Corona is getting, thinking you will just do nothing, remain cozy in your home until it passes.  You may survive the virus, you may make it until it completely passes over, what you would have missed is the opportunity that YHVH is giving us to repent, to spend time in His word, so that we will be ready for what will happen next.

Other’s may find your safe haven no longer shielded by stimulus packages, your cable bill can’t be paid, you’ve seen all the movies that have been out, the grocery stores are empty, or you have missed the one piece of news that you needed in a timely fashion to stock up before the stores closed and you have nothing planted.  What happens then?  Or electricity ceases.  Because you didn’t take advantage of getting the oil before the lights went out you find yourself in the dark with no way to leave when the bridegroom cometh. (Matt 25:1-13)  This is the fate of those who have rejected the Rock of safety to hold onto the false hope of their hard place.  Inevitable calamity.

None of those are you, you stay informed, you are glued to the tube knowing every moment when the number of cases and deaths change.  You have your clock set to check the news online or on t.v. so that you are informed.  You have switched your soap operas to the different media outlets bouncing from one station to the next all the while gripped with fear wondering when or how Corona may slip through your door.  These are the ones who the fear of catching the disease has caused more damage than the disease and thus stress becomes their killer.

They’d rather put their trust in a vaccine, or medicine, some quick fix or anything other than turning to Yah.  This person knows all about the plane how it works, details of every single part, but majored in minors and thus negated the most important thing to know when being in a plane that is crashing, how to work a parachute!  See Yeshua is our parachute when we are faced with falling from a collapsing plane.  His pill is good for any ill, this is why it is good news, the Gospel!  The earth will melt with fervent heat, heaven and earth may pass away, but His word is forever settled in heaven. (Mar 13:31)  Though this outward man will perish the inward man is renewed every day and knowing where that man will be when Corona has come and gone, and left its wake of cartilage behind is the most important thing we need to know. (1 Cor 4:16) It will give us peace of mind such that we have no need to fear.  We don’t take foolish chances, but we don’t have to walk in fear either.

Giving Space for the Gifts to Operate

Not knowing what will happen next from the standpoint of man is a great motivation to why programmed services are so comfortable in the Western Church. The goal of the Holy Spirit for believers is that the whole body comes to maturity. This is why gifts were given and positions provided to the leadership so that the body would be perfected to do the work of the ministry. Working is what the Holy Spirit does, and He does it well with his biggest hindrance being us the vessel He uses. Unfortunately, the wineskin we use lends itself to the quenching of the Spirit and by its rigid format discourages the body of Christ to mature in its gifting.

The Teacher is Always Present

We in the body of Christ need to understand that the Teacher in us is always present and ready to lead and guide us. So with that being said how is it we miss His lessons? We are distracted by the pomp and circumstance, ritual, protocol, and man-made orders of service have either stifled the move of the Spirit or contained it. Isa 55 reminds us that His ways are not our ways, nor are our thoughts His thoughts. His ways and thoughts are higher than our ways and thoughts as the heavens are higher than the earth in comparison. We cannot program the Holy Spirit, He will not succumb to our rigid wineskin, but if we are willing, He will give us a new wineskin that can hold the new wine He has to give. There is always and will always be priority in the body, but what the word of God says is this if you are a true Apostle, Prophet, Evangelist, Pastor, or Teacher then where is your fruit? (Eph. 4:11-12) Yeshua said wisdom is justified of her children, and if we have offspring, are they the children of our flesh (our making, after our image, and likeness) or are they the children of the Spirit (operating, hearing from, and moving by the voice of the Holy Spirit)?   If we are producing children of the living God, then we know that the Spirit of God dwells within them because the scriptures tell us so, yet, even with the soothing words or the jovial hand in which we victoriously walk out of our congregations, special meetings, and the like our people still walk out into a world where they are deficient in handling the day in day out challenges of life nor clear on understanding when they are hearing from the Spirit of God or not. This should not be.

I get that the wineskin we use in the Western church is foreign to the culture of the scriptures we read, and I understand that this is the greatest problem to its success.  Are our leaders seeking the Most High for guidance concerning instructing our people on how to operate in the Spirit? Is the church under the great deception spoken of in the bible that is supposed to overtake the world?  Is it possible that our greatest challenge is we are trying to find away around what is written to bring about the glory of the Most High and we refuse to see that it doesn’t work.  We experience trickles of glory under the old wineskin, but trickles when God is looking for floods to pour in is equivalent to Yeshua only being able to lay hands on a few sick in Nazareth, yet could do mighty works that the world couldn’t contain all that he did everywhere else.    Our people are ill-equipped, having only flickers of victory, and unaware of who they are in Christ to walk in victory, and even with no lack of ministries on every corner this reality still remains.  I am not talking about walking in victory amidst no challenges, but being able to hear and see God in the challenges we face. Being a believer doesn’t mean we will be exempt from challenges, in fact because the world hates our Lord it only stands that we will have more challenges. The issue I am addressing is knowing and being able to discern that the Father is with us through the challenges.

In the book of Samuel we see that despite the gross errors that Eli made in raising his sons, he was very clear on being able to help young Samuel discern the voice of the Almighty and train him in how he was to respond to that voice. Samuel was equipped for the role in which YHVH was calling him to. This is the responsibility that leadership has in the body of Christ today and sad to say many of us are doing what Eli did with his physical children with the Spiritual children God has given us. We have a responsibility to train our people to operate in the gift YHVH has given them, and to do so as if they were being called to replace us, holding nothing back for ourselves, or trying to hold on to our position; to do so is the very spirit of Saul and will lead to you being replaced. If God gave the position to you, He also has the right to take it away.  Do not overlook the fact that Saul lost the anointing though he was able to hold on to his position until death.  The gifts and the callings are without repentance, but the anointing is by selection and as it is given it can also be withdrawn.

As the Prophet Isaiah revealed, His ways are neither our ways nor His thoughts our thoughts. We don’t get to choose who God will or won’t use; we are not called to stop them from blossoming into their purpose even if that purpose is to replace us. As faithful servants, we are called to serve the Most High reserving nothing for ourselves, but giving it all to Him and trusting that He will reward our faithfulness. For some what that may look like in the natural is a demotion, but remember like Joseph our Father will give us a coat of our confirmation only to allow it to be dipped in blood, and us to be thrown into pits, enduring through slavery, and dropped into a place of punishment called prison before we are promoted to our position of authority seated at His right hand in His Son Yeshua.

So this message today is to the leadership of the body of Christ. To those who are called out to call Yah’s people in. Let loose the reigns and allow the gifts to operate, expect God to speak through his body and like anything that is not exercised expect that at first it will be weak and correction, instruction, and direction will have to be used until it matures but don’t give up. Don’t allow fear of mistakes to stop you from doing what Ephesians 4 says you are here to do, train those Samuel’s, prepare those Deborah’s, encourage those Joshua’s because we are in the hour where it is vitally important for the body to become comfortable hearing the voice of God and moving in the Spiritual Gifts that His death, burial, resurrection, and ascension paid for us to have access to.

Thy Kingdom Come

We can quote quite well, and one of the quotes that most believers learn early on is the Lord’s Prayer.  However, I was convicted recently when expounding more deeply on each part of the prayer concerning this particular phrase, “thy kingdom come”.  We pray for the kingdom but the real question is do we even know what the kingdom is?

Have we found the kingdom of heaven yet?  Have we found that which we are willing to sell all that we have to possess?  Have we seen or experienced a taste of the kingdom that is to come such that we desire it more than the cares of this world, the deceitfulness of riches, and the lust of other things?  If we are still toiling, conniving, living the stressed life instead of the blessed life then we haven’t found it yet.

And Jesus saith unto him, The foxes have holes, and the birds of the air have nests; but the Son of man hath not where to lay his head.

Matt 8:20

What is powerful about this truth is even without knowing where he would lay his head the Messiah understood the kingdom and where he was positioned in it?  He had full confidence in the Most High to provide for all of His needs without knowing what natural direction it would come from beforehand.  He wanted us to have that type of bold assurance as well.  I have to admit a lot of my confidence comes from knowing the answer to such questions like where I will lay my head, where my next meal is coming from. Can I believe that the righteous are not forsaken nor its seed begging bread if I already know that the money is in the bank or how the bills will be paid?  Do we really grasp how important we are to God?

Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment? Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they? Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature? And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin: And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith? Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.

Matt. 6:25-32

This passage of scripture reflects the evidence of Kingdom thinking.  When we can understand that we serve a God who has forethought.  Think about this passage, He mentions things that are not only significant to building the trust that YHVH has us, but there is an even greater revelation if we consider all the things that he uses as examples for us to grasp Yah’s provision are things that were created before we were.  In other words, these were things that God had foreknew, used forethought, and put in place to prepare for our eventual arrival on day six.  So in essence what He is saying is from the foundation of the world, in the beginning, I already considered what you would have need of today.  I mean like TODAY, July 20, 2019, as I am writing you God, has you.  No matter what your situation is, whether you can literally say I have no place to lay my head or any money to buy my meal, your provision is and has been accounted for sight unseen.

The key to seeing the kingdom and understanding this principle hinges on our understanding of what faith is.  There are several things the verse in Hebrews shares with us about faith.

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

Heb. 11:1

The first revelation is when faith takes place, and that is now!  It’s not faith if I believe it for later, I have to believe it now.  Now, when I can’t see it, touch it, taste it, or feel it.  Therefore faith is NOW!  That’s not it, we also must believe that faith has substance but not just any substance, but the substance of something that you want to happen.  You are hoping to see, believing God to do.  Again, this is an accepted truth even when it isn’t made manifest.  Hence what I have said from the beginning, you have to believe this sight unseen.  Therefore, I have to believe food is coming even when I haven’t ordered it, or the money is on the way even after Yah has told me to order the food that is coming.  We see Yeshua operating in this at all times.  From the water being turned into wine, to the 5,000 being fed with 2 small fish and 5 loaves of bread with leftovers to take on their journey, and as he paid taxes with money out of a fish’s mouth.

Faith is a revelation of the kingdom of the Most High.  If we believe we are in the Kingdom then we must also accept that we are not subject to the resources of the systems of this world, but rather provided for by the rules that govern the kingdom we are in.  If the kingdom of this world is my source then I must turn to it for my resources, but if the kingdom of heaven is where my provision lies then even if as the sons of God we have no place in the kingdom of this world to lay our head, we are not only okay but confident that our provision is accounted for.

Yah was revealing to us a picture of the kingdom in the positioning of the tribe of Levi.  Remember all of the other tribes received a worldly inheritance (land inheritance) but YHVH withheld the earthly inheritance from the Levites, and instead provided them with Himself as their inheritance.  They were established as a picture of understanding how the kingdom of God functions versus the kingdom of this world.  As stated in Matthew those of the kingdom of this world are Gentile seekers.  They worry about what they will eat, where they will sleep, what they will wear. But his disciples?  They were to have the sort of faith that when they go into a town they aren’t to even carry purse or script, no extra clothes because like the Levites those of the kingdom of Heaven operate under a different code of conduct.  Their provision comes from a reliance on the Most High not from a reliance of a check that won’t bounce or direct deposits from their company to their account.  From a “this world up” perspective it would seem as though the twelve tribes got a better deal in getting land to pass down to their children’s children while the Levites would appear to have received the short end of the stick.  But consider it this way land is something you need while you are on the earth it has a temporary purpose it serves while in these temporary vessels, but those who belong to YHVH have an eternal confidence that is built on eternal promises that extend beyond this temporal existence.  See the rich man and the poor alike will one day meet eternity, and one who understands the kingdom coming recognizes that our requirement of temporal things by those who meet our borrowed needs is investing their money into an eternal bank with endless dividends.

Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in: Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me. Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink? When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee? Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee? And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me. Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels: For I was an hungred, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not. Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee? Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me.  And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.

Matt 25:34-46

Here we see that our charity reveals something important enough to God that those who didn’t engage in it concerning His chosen ones won’t enter into heaven because of it.  How we give of our time, talent, and treasure reveals our lack of love and faith as well as our abundance of love and faith.  It reveals which kingdom we are looking to as our source, thus if we withhold it reveals we are looking to the kingdom of this world as our source in which there is a limit of supply and thus we have to do all we can to save our life and the comfort of our life.  If we are looking to the kingdom of Heaven as our provision then it is not subject to time, space, nor matter because it supersedes it and those things are subject to him.  Hence, if a man won’t give us what we need God has the ability to open the mouth of a fish to get what we need. His resources are without limitations to those who are trusting in Him.

What I am saying is when the kingdom has truly come in our hearts we recognize that we own nothing, we need nothing, and our faith is not dependent on anything that this world can offer, but is dependent solely on the provision of the Kingdom of God.  We know we have the resources of Heaven backing up our obedient acts to the Father.

The setting apart of the Levites reveals this truth.  YHVH established the requirements of the other tribes to supply the needs of the Levite’s but the other tribes still had to depend on YHVH to supply the rain, the seed, the fertility of the ground, and the health of the animals to reproduce in order to supply that which the Levites would need.  Remember they weren’t receiving a tithe of paperback dividends or gold standard marks, but rather from the herd (day five and six) creatures, and produce (day three) plants to meet their needs.  In exchange, they would receive healthy mediators (Levites) to intercede between God and them.

The kingdom of God operates on rules far beyond that of this present age.  If nothing else I hope this article serves to not only help us better understand the principles of the Kingdom of God but also to desire it.  To imagine a world where even when the world’s resources are dry such as during the time of Elijah you can receive food from a Raven or a widow.  In return when resources are not available at man’s obedience to God’s command you produce oil that doesn’t end until you run out of vessels.  It is my firm belief that when the natural resources of the Western world begin to dry up, that we will see the Supernatural unending manna from the Most High once again meet the needs of His people.  We will not only read, but we will know how the Kingdom operates and we will yearn for the Kingdom to come.  We will then taste and see how good the Lord is in ways unfathomable.

Turn on the Light

In the wake of so many acts of terrorism and in uncovering past terrors of the seed of Joseph there has been a resurgence of anger and the spirit of James and John wanting to call down fire and brimstone on those who have oppressed us.  However, the message that I received loud and clear is to turn on the light, not to focus on the darkness.  If we look at our forefather Abraham we will discover that he was told that he would be a blessing unto all nations, and indeed that is what we have fulfilled.  More nations have prospered from our free tumultuous labor, and even today our natural talents, gifts, and abilities continue to be admired, admonished, and recognized worldwide.  However, the danger of allowing the atrocities of our past and in some cases our current situation to influence us we fall prey to failing to live up to our purpose.  Abraham was never purposed to curse anyone, this is something that we would be best served in leaving in the hands of YHVH who is the righteous judge on our behalf, or the enemy HaSatan whom YHVH turns his enemies over too.  Either way it is not a domain that we will be blessed in focusing on. Remember it is YHVH who will bless those who bless us and curse those who curse us. (Gen. 12:3)

I firmly believe that YHVH will avenge all the righteous bloodshed that has been shed since Abel, but our position is to turn on the light.  One of the key scriptures that more and more YHVH reminds me of is Proverbs 4:7.

“Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.”

If we gain the understanding that our forefather Joseph did we can then focus on the purpose of our tragedy, rather than the pain of it.  It is our tragedy that makes us the seed of Joseph, the fact that we can go through the past of our brothers throwing us in a pit, being sold into slavery twice over, only to leave slavery and be wrongfully incarcerated, to one day find ourselves being the chosen of Yah to deliver the world from a coming judgment.  Yet, all that I have mentioned doesn’t complete the picture of our past, but rather how we respond when we are in power, how we respond to those who are responsible for our demise, do we only look at the darkness that their choices led us to or do we also look at the light that we have been called to as we were humbled through our circumstances?  If we are looking at the misery, the harsh bondage, and the abuse, but not looking at the Deliverer then we are going to make the same mistake that our forefathers made in Egypt the first time.  Rather than rejoicing in the fact that the deliverer had come, they focused on the here and now and the hellish situation they found themselves in. This mistake caused them to suffer through the first three plagues that came upon Egypt.

So here’s the question what is it going to take for us to focus on the Light?  How many plagues are we going to have to endure before we realize that our persecutor isn’t our issue, our disobedience to the command of YHVH is our issue.  We have yet to fulfill the purpose to which we were created because we are too busy looking at our enemy and trying to please them.  Turning to the world system to bail us out or deliver us from our current circumstance.  Listen to me in 2019 Pharaoh is going to once again have a dream, a dream that only Joseph is equipped to decode.  The Pharaoh of this world system is going to be looking for a Hebrew to walk them into their destiny.  We cannot be distracted by hate, Joseph’s animosity over his circumstance cost him two more years before the opportunity presented itself to come into his destiny.  It was a dream that brought him into bondage, but also a dream that got him out of it.  The word for this hour for those who have been oppressed, mistreated, abused, and cast aside is to stand still and see the salvation of YHVH. (Exo 14:13)  We will not only be dreamers but we will be called to interpret dreams and develop solutions to avoid future nightmares.

Don’t rehearse the darkness of our day, stand in the light of the truth.  The enemy will use the facts of our past to keep us from the truth of God’s word.  Don’t miss your hour of visitation.  Do not allow the injustices of today to keep you from pressing in to receive your purpose.  Look at the sufferings that we endure as only further evidence to who we truly are, and count it all joy as you suffer persecution for righteousness sake.  We need not look to the left (Democrat) nor to the right (Republican) because our salvation will come from YHVH. The butler will forget our contributions, until the time our contributions are once again needed.  Our gifts are for a reason and a season, and we must remember it’s not until it is pitch black, and eyes are open that one recognizes the crucial importance that light brings.

A Disciplined Life in Messiah

What exactly is a disciplined life in Messiah?  Has the Western Church become vulnerable to the plagues that have challenged the rest of Western civilization? Could we be guilty of the sin of Asa?  Are we seeking the physician’s wisdom instead of Yah? (2 Chr 16:12) We individually must answer this question through much time of prayer and steadfast seeking the Lord for correction.

As a nation love for money has overcome our love for people, and so, leads to symptom treatment instead of cures. Self-preservation instead of searching for viable solutions. Solutions found in the word of God that are overlooked are the key to why we suffer diseases. Countless examples are found of men of God who didn’t die of disease and the one who did, did so because he sought a physician instead of Yah for a remedy. (2 Ch. 16:12) There is a lesson in that for us, we’d do well to take heed to.

Who are we seeking for answers? Who did Moses, Abraham, David, Paul, Peter, James, John, look to for health solutions? Now don’t get it twisted I realize Yah can and does use mankind in healing men the same way He used Moses as the instrument by which the children of Israel received freedom. The point is are we seeking Him first for answers, are we being led by His Spirit? Do His sheep listen for His voice or forsake it for a stranger?

It just bothers me when we put our hopes in the things Yah has allowed mankind to discover more then Yah who gave it to us. He has the power and authority to flip the script as He sees fit. When we get to the point where we call the shots then we are in trouble. Where we are relying on last season’s serpent as the answer this season’s plague, instead of YHVH’s voice.

For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God. (Rom 8:19)

I believe the cure to our broken world, famine, disease, poverty, etc… Is when we who are the Sons of God wake up to our identity. When we come to the full stature, mature body walking together in love with an ear to heaven unbroken. There will be the manifestation, and this revelation right here the enemy is fighting with every arsenal he has at his disposal to keep us from experiencing. Thus as I began, the Torah trains us through a disciplined obedient loving relationship with Yah how to stay well to accomplish our mission. Believers should not be taken out this life through disease, murdered for preaching the Gospel, is at least in the realm of possibility. But the diseases of Egypt, the plagues upon humanity at large, should escape us.

For standing for righteousness, yes scripture makes clear, but through disease predicated on an undisciplined lifestyle, this shouldn’t be. He said He wouldn’t put none of the diseases He put on Egypt on us, if we hearken to His voice, do that which is right in His sight, and give ear to His commandments.

And said, If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the LORD thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the LORD that healeth thee. (Exo 15:26)

Somewhere we are coming up short and a sick world is the evidence of our lack of obedience. This promise, of course, applies to the church, which is His body, NOT a building.

We know these benefits never was for those out of covenant. Believers living life in loving obedience to the Father means we would hear Yah who would then direct us in how to bring about liberty for those outside of Covenant for the end purpose of drawing them into the covenant. For its the goodness of Yah that leads men to repentance. (Rom. 2:4)

Once they are set free and learn those things that offend Yah then they are able to share with others what was done for them and see others set free by the power of the Almighty. The diseases provide a platform for believers to reach unbelievers through Yah using us as He did Aaron and Moses to bring people into covenant with the Creator.

A disciplined life produces a disciplined life in others. We can’t do this without Him. But the first step is acknowledging that we are not adhering to His voice, doing that which is right in His sight, giving ear to His commandments or statutes, and as a result, we are not reaping the benefits of what springs forth from a disciplined life.

Goodness Has Returning Power

To “surround the house”, a very interesting definition from a hebraic perspective for this word.  The Strong’s word is H2896 and if you have an Ancient Hebrew Lexicon of the Bible you can see how the characters reveal the characteristic of this term.  This is also the word that YHVH used when he created something new and its more practical meaning is functional.  In Greek the word for “goodness” is Strong’s number G19.

Romans 15:14 is an admonition by Paul to his brethren in the faith at Rome.  He makes a point of affirming to them that he is sure of their goodness.

And I myself also am persuaded of you, my brethren, that ye also are full of goodness, filled with all knowledge, able also to admonish one another. (Romans 15:14)

In a world that is clearly full of those who do not have well intentions and paranoia occurs from a place of being justified as we are in a world that is fast spinning to its end.  Goodness stands out as faithfully now as I suspect it did during the time of Paul.  While we don’t want to judge everyone by the bad experiences we had of others it is only wise to apply precautionary brakes on how open we allow ourselves to be.  Nevertheless, relationship breaks those barriers quickly a concept that is becoming more and more uncommon in our social media friends, followers, tweeters, and snapchatters.

In Hebrew, goodness sounds like what it would feel like to be hugged by the Almighty.  To be wrapped up in His arms would be the feeling of security, joy, and the encouragement that gives you reassurance about your identity.  If its in you its not containable from its description it is an element that fills us, and yet we know that when we were born into the Kingdom of God that this fruit was given to us, but if it wasn’t allowed to mature then it is dormant, immature (which in this case means not fully developed).  In the immature state you don’t have enough to share its not fully in you as it ought to be.  If we think of our bodies as a house it would be the equivalent of saying we haven’t allowed him to surround the house yet, there are some areas we have closed off, put up under construction signs such that its not bubbling over in us to spill onto others.

Afterward shall the children of Israel return, and seek the LORD their God, and David their king; and shall fear the LORD and his goodness in the latter days. (Hos 3:5)

This prophecy in Hosea reveals what will happen to the children of Israel when they return. Notice that He said we will seek YHVH our God, and this is being fulfilled in this hour more than ever before.  As knowledge is increasing and going to and fro more and more people are coming into the knowledge of the truth and who they are.  They are also seeking David their king, the recognition that our Messiah, Yeshua Ha Maschiach is the son of David, our prophesied King of glory, and why Son of David?  Because it is taking us back to where we were before the twelve tribes were split.  It is based on the promise that was given to David that yes, Solomon was a benefactor of but he didn’t walk with God as perfectly as he ought to, but instead gave way to the strange women he married and their idols.  His example was the foundation for what became the separating of the two houses that was fulfilled in his son Rehoboam.  His harsh treatment and unfair acts led to the separating of the houses while it was under the reign of David the house was united.  It was also under David that we see war taking place as the powers of this world found itself fighting against Yah and David was the warrior ready to take them on.  Likewise, our Messiah when He returns for His people it is as David that he will return.  Hosea doesn’t go back to Joseph, but that is who Messiah originally came as, as the son of Joseph, but when He returns as Hosea rightfully testifies he will be coming back as the King of Glory with all power and authority in His hand.  His goodness will indeed surround the whole house of Israel.

Therefore, the question for us is what surrounds our house (human body)?  Are we filling our thoughts with those things that are pure, just, true, honest, lovely, praiseworthy, things with virtue, or with praise?  (Php 4:8)  Its difficult for you to become a cynical person when you think on these things.  For indeed as a man thinketh in his heart so is he, so when we fill our hearts with these things in Php 4:8 the product can only be goodness. (Pro 23:7)

Our Struggle is Not Against Flesh and Blood: Part III Who are the Rulers of the Darkness of this World?

If you think it is the current President, thought it was any previous ones, or firmly believe whoever holds the oval office in the next administration is the one, then your aim is far too low. No man having flesh and blood could be responsible for the darkness of this world. There are limitations we have in this flesh, especially as individuals, and while the intended purpose from the beginning was that we would have dominion over the things in this world we can thank Adam and Eve for the entrance of the ruler of the darkness of this world.

Men are mere puppets on the menu of the Serpent if they haven’t given both their heart and their will over to God. Here is why it is important that you must give over both, see the Roman road to salvation is two-fold, believing in thine heart that God has raised His son from the dead is only one part. We must confess with our mouth THE LORD Jesus. As Lord, this means he is master, and while many may have no problem believing in their heart he died for them, and are grateful, and that he arose from the dead, but where the rubber meets the road is, if he is Lord! Lord not in only lip service, but in life service.

For Him to be Lord of your life that means you must deny your flesh! You must ask yourself and make a conscious decision that your words and your ways will line up with what He said and speaks to you, not with what you say and think. There was a point where King David came close to failing this test of respecting God’s authority. When he met that crossroad his heart smote him even at the cutting off of cloth of King Saul’s garment. (1 Sam. 24:4-5) I would say his flesh was very much willing to cross this line and most of us in the flesh would have said he had every right to do so. After all, the bounty on his life was based on an unrighteous decision of this very King, he could have ended this tyranny and reign in his stead. Remember, he had already been anointed as such by the Prophet Samuel, but he understood, who was he to touch God’s anointed? We need to understand that when we are tongue-lashing daggers at those who are the rulers of our nation, that the face we are really getting in front of is that of the Almighty. Men this is also important to recognize that when you tear down national authority in front of your family, you open the door for your family to challenge your authority.

Opposing unrighteous policies is one thing, but speaking evil of our present ruler leads to leprosy. (Num. 12:1-10) While many may hold to respecting authority within ranks messianic leadership, then I would suggest you consider whose servant Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon was? (Jer. 27:6) I would suggest you reread Romans 13, Eph. 6:5-9 which tells you how you ought to obey those who have rule over you. As unpopular as this message maybe it is nevertheless needed, there is somebody reading this right now that are wondering why their prayers are being hindered and this could be your key.

King David was blessed with an amazing promise from the Most High that have stretched all the way till today, thousands of years since his reign because he understood respect for authority. Even when authority sought to kill him he remained submitted, first unto God, and secondly unto God’s delegated authority. Whatever King Saul’s faults were it was not David’s job to be his judge. He had one law to keep as it related to King Saul and that was to submit to his kingship and his faithfulness to doing that reaped his eternal rewards.

We are at a crossroads as a people under authority, are we going to continue to fight against flesh and blood or will we instead put on the full armor of the Almighty? David even as a wanted man by King Saul kept his armor, and knew how to use it, do you? The weapons of our warfare they are not carnal, they are not swords, guns, bombs, or slingshots, but the weapons we have are mighty! (2 Cor 10:4) Yah has given us some armor and instructions on how to use it so we are not without what we need in this present dark age. These weapons won’t miss when aimed at the right target. (Eph. 6:11)

Now, remember you need all this armor before you go out to battle. If you miss any, you will be exposed in that area. So here we go, first, we are told to stand. In this war you can’t be fearful the first ones who will burn in that lake of fire is, the fearful. None of this armor will work on a coward, so if there is a fear in you other than the fear of the Almighty then you need to first fill yourself with the word of God concerning this area until you receive the fear of God in you. A healthy, holy, reverential fear of the Almighty will help you conquer the fear of man. Matthew 10:28 tells us who we should fear and why, which makes it a good place to start so you can gain the conviction to stand. Now that you are standing its time to suit up.

The first piece of armor for the standing man is to have his loins girded with the belt of truth. Why would your loins be the first piece of armor? I believe it is because your loins are positioned in the center of your body. It is the part that surrounds your belly. Have you ever had a gut feeling? This gut feeling is powerful many who have the courage to act or not to act usually do so based on it. This gut feeling can be so compelling it can cause one to defy reason. This gut feeling will tell you to pack an umbrella even when the forecast doesn’t predict rain. It is in our gut or bowels we find ourselves moved with compassion for someone. It is important to remain centered because a person who is properly centered will only bow or bend purposely. Those whose faith is centered with the belt of truth is focused on the word of truth. When asked what is truth by Pilate, the answer was already written, His word is truth. (John 18:36; John 17:17)

After we are properly centered with the right source of information we are told to put on the breastplate of righteousness. When we are centered in truth it is easy to stand protected with the breastplate of righteousness. We have already established that in our flesh dwells no good thing, but because of the righteousness of God and our embracing of his truth we are washed in the blood and made righteous in it. Therefore, because we are in Christ, we are no longer held hostage to the dead man we were. The breastplate covers the heart, and the heart pumps the blood that goes to the rest of the body. Therefore, since the blood of Christ, who through the eternal spirit, offered himself without spot to God on our behalf, through him our conscience is purged from dead works so we can stand and serve the living God. (Heb. 9:14) So any sin under the blood of Christ is not free game for the enemy to hold against you. This doesn’t mean he won’t try, remember the believer wouldn’t need any of this armor if we had no enemies.

The next piece of armor is for your feet. We stand now, but soon we will have to walk, and having the right shoes on can keep you from stumbling. Our feet must be shod with the gospel of peace. It is important to remember that we are not the bearers of bad news that is what the world already has; we come with good news. Too often we approach the things of God like it’s something we have to hide or be ashamed of, the world would have us think liberating people from the sin that has them bound is something bad when nothing could be further from the truth. We have the news that will set the captives free. Many drug addicts want to be free, the gospel does that because it’s good news. Many alcoholics, sex addicts, slaves, prisoners of war, prisoners, sick people are all seeking for the truth that is girded about our loins. For freedom that our conscience has because of the pure blood through the eternal spirit we get to have on our chest, but haven’t heard the gospel of peace. Addictions are desirable because the addict has no peace. The gospel of Jesus Christ (Yeshua Ha Maschiach) comes with that peace. Those who reject such peace will have the remainder of the dust from our feet to contend with as His peace leaves with us.

When the gospel of peace is rejected we need not fret God provided us another piece of armor, called the shield of faith. He has shielded us with a faith that can put out fires. The first place this word faith appears in the Bible is when Joshua was in battle against the Amalekites. When Moses was seated on a rock with Hur and Aaron on either side of him the word in Exodus 17:12 translated as steady to describe his position on that rock is the word for faith. It’s the perfect picture of God’s intervention in the hand of man with faith being used in the sense of a military tactic. When we know that we are seated in heavenly places with Messiah Yeshua as we stand against the darkness of this present age then we can boldly shield ourselves against the fiery darts of the enemy with every dart intended for us being wielded back to him like a boomerang. This is the effect our faith in the Most High has against the principalities of the darkness of this present age. Our steadiness in the Word and Will of the Almighty translates into a powerful witness of the truth of who he is.

Job is an example for us, that even at the admonition of his wife to curse God and die because of the fiery darts that were coming his way, he stood firmly on his convictions to trust God despite what it cost him. While Job as a man had his faults, he was unwavering in his stand to not curse God. While the enemy may throw our faith back at us as a testimony against us, our faithfulness to stand with God in the midst of the challenge will speak for us.

Because the enemy doesn’t stop, wherever he can find an entrance whether it is a door or a window he will try to find his way in, our Father gave us another piece of armor. This armor is for our head, and it is very important. If the enemy can’t wear your body down, then he will use mind games to take you out. Therefore keep the helmet of salvation securely in place. You know that you are saved, that your life has already been bought with a price and that you have the blessed hope that even if he can take your body out, your soul is secure in him. This was a tactic he tried twice to attack our Savior with, identity. If he can get you to question who you belong to, he can get you to willingly put aside all the other armor that protects you. Knowing you are a new creature in Christ is essential and keeping that helmet of salvation is especially important when going to battle.

Finally, we are given the sword of the Spirit, this is very important to know how to use. When fighting someone who is aiming to kill you it is important to know exactly where you will strike to get the job done. The sword of the spirit is the word of God, but there are two important things you need to know when wielding your sword. Since the sword we are given is the word of God we have to understand what word of the word of God we need to hit the heart. Remember, in this fight, we are looking to win the heart of those who have been deceived by Ha Satan. The right word fitly spoken has the power of conversion, we don’t want to be aimlessly cutting and we don’t want to miss the target. So knowing where you want the sword to strike and what word you need to penetrate that spot to bring about conviction is critical.

I wouldn’t want these spiritual weapons being misapplied, it is important to know that the war we are waging doesn’t start on a physical battlefield, but in a prayer closet. While we do not fight as one who beats the air we are in a battle against a principality who lives in the air. Yeshua understood this more than I think we who read his testimony. There is a lot being said in between the lines we don’t consider when He is speaking. Many times we see that Yeshua would leave the people and get away to himself to spend time alone with the Father. Every time we read that what we read came out of that time, but not necessarily all that was said in that time. This is the same thing we see with Moses when he spent time in the mountain getting the Ten Commandments written in stone. The people saw the stone; they saw the glory that appeared on him after his time with God, but there is a reason the scripture records that the people knew God’s acts, but Moses knew his ways. To know the ways of God requires spending time with Him. There is a lot we are missing if we are not spending that time. Many of us are just content with seeing the hand of God move in our lives, we are seeking the acts, but few desires to know the ways of God. If we forsake fellowship with God, we will always be prey for the enemies menu. We then find our weapons will be of the flesh instead of resting in the power of the Spirit.
