What do Golden calf’s and Evergreen Trees with Golden ornaments have in common?
- Neither one has anything to do with serving the one true God YHWH or His son Jesus.
- They both are celebrated on days other than the Feast Days that Yah set apart.
- They both are focused on us instead of Him. Under the calf were the people; under the tree are gifts for the people.
- At the calf they gave praise to it for bringing them out of Egypt, at the tree we spread Christmas Cheer rather than sharing the Gospel truth.
Golden balls dangling from evergreen trees are no more well received by our Abba than golden earrings producing golden calves. Despite the media and false prophet’s it does matter how we serve Him.
Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? (2Co 6:14)
There is no way in the world the children of Israel could have made dancing around that calf right. Aaron knowing that calf didn’t bring them out of Egypt attempted to do what we do today attempt to give Pagan worship legitimacy by calling it a Feast unto YHWH or in our case Jesus birthday.
And when Aaron saw it, he built an altar before it; and Aaron made proclamation, and said, Tomorrow is a feast to the LORD. (Exo 32:5)
What was Yah’s response?
And I looked, and, behold, ye had sinned against the LORD your God, and had made you a molten calf: ye had turned aside quickly out of the way which the LORD had commanded you. And I took the two tables, and cast them out of my two hands, and brake them before your eyes. And I fell down before the LORD, as at the first, forty days and forty nights: I did neither eat bread, nor drink water, because of all your sins which ye sinned, in doing wickedly in the sight of the LORD, to provoke him to anger. For I was afraid of the anger and hot displeasure, wherewith the LORD was wroth against you to destroy you. But the LORD hearkened unto me at that time also. And the LORD was very angry with Aaron to have destroyed him: and I prayed for Aaron also the same time. (Deu 9:16-20) Emphasis mine
Why do I call those who profess to “save Christmas” false prophets?
Because, like Aaron did with the calf, they also do in choosing to attempt to give legitimacy to a holiday that clearly is contrary to scripture, and their words lead to other’s serving another god, since our God says HE seeks those who worship Him in spirit and in truth (John 4:23-24):
If there arise among you a prophet, or a dreamer of dreams, and giveth thee a sign or a wonder, And the sign or the wonder come to pass, whereof he spake unto thee, saying, Let us go after other gods, which thou hast not known, and let us serve them; Thou shalt not hearken unto the words of that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams: for the LORD your God proveth you, to know whether ye love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul. Ye shall walk after the LORD your God, and fear him, and keep his commandments, and obey his voice, and ye shall serve him, and cleave unto him. And that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams, shall be put to death; because he hath spoken to turn you away from the LORD your God, which brought you out of the land of Egypt, and redeemed you out of the house of bondage, to thrust thee out of the way which the LORD thy God commanded thee to walk in. So shalt thou put the evil away from the midst of thee. (Deu 13:1-5)
Make no mistake had Moses not prayed for Aaron, Yah would have destroyed him. Therefore I pray that those who as believers choose to sanction this holiday as a feast to Yah repent and begin to share the truth. These false prophets will lead you to embrace the lie of Christmas while saying Yah did away with His Feasts in Leviticus 23 which are clearly stated in scripture to be “forever”. They make movies about “Saving Christmas” but will not spend one dollar to educate or make movies about “Saving the Feast of YHWH” that He established in Leviticus 23. They make keeping the Sabbath optional or able to be done as it suits your schedule, rather than as a perpetual covenant as it is described in Exodus.
Wherefore the children of Israel shall keep the sabbath, to observe the sabbath throughout their generations, for a perpetual covenant.
(Exo 31:16) Emphasis mine
Notice that it doesn’t say “children of Jews” but rather “children of Israel”. While Israel include the Jewish people it isn’t limited to them. Thus, who is included in Israel?
Wherefore remember, that ye being in time past Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by hands; That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world: But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ. (Eph 2:11-13)
Those who are born again are born again into Messiah Yahushah (Jesus). Thus born into the covenant. Therefore, you are now grafted into Israel, and one of the Pagan rituals that we must put aside if indeed we have been born again is the celebration of pagan holidays. Whether you knowingly, like Aaron, or unknowingly like those dancing around that calf are engaging in it. Today, is the day to repent and be ye cleansed. To become the chaste bride our Messiah will have at His return. Don’t be foolish and think that you can continue walking between the line, but rather pick a side because the time of spewing the lukewarm is coming. Make sure that the words you keep are those of your Husband Yahushah (Jesus) and not those of the enemy. Ask yourself if Yahushah (Jesus) didn’t say it, and the word doesn’t condone it, then why do I do it?
They tell you it’s okay to do what Aaron did because God knows your heart. Yes indeed Yah knows your heart just as he did those who were dancing around that calf. Just as he knows the heart of the stampede of folks who rush the stores and will beat down and kill folks to get that perfect gift for their children, all in the name of saving Christmas.
What is the alternative?
Do what Jesus (Yahushah) did during the winter. Celebrate the Feast of Dedication, also known as Hanukkah (John 10:22). It’s not just a Jewish thing it is a Jesus thing because He is the light of the world. (Matt. 5:14) He brings light to the blind just as he did during Hanukkah (Feast of Dedication) in His day. (John 9-10:22) Read the prophet Daniel who prophesied this event as well as the book of Maccabees that was removed from our bibles, which chronicles the history of the fulfillment of Daniel’s vision and provides the context for how this holiday came about. As you read notice the similarities between their time and ours, so that you can see the future. Because indeed Tis the season to celebrate and serve Yah in spirit and in truth.
